My hungry family arrived at Snaps Bistro on a snowy day joining the late lunchers. The lively
and foiliaged dining area could be situated in any European city. Unformal
waiters seat us in the otherwise full bustly restaurant.
We order a ceasar salad, club sandwich, a duck salad and refreshing
icelandic water. The food arrives on big white plates nicely arranged and is placed by our cloth napkin and old style cutlery. The duck
salad definitely the most exotic with pomegranate seeds, charred pears, sweet potato cubes and a warm
fresh figue. A beautiful and tasty salad, so was the cesare salad with
fresh romain leaves a well sized piece of roast chicken and delicious cheasy dressing
topped with long flakes of parmigano. Big
chunky club sandwich with fresh tomatoes and rich egg and bacon salad in toast
and a huge pile of crisp french fries. A meal fit for a hungry viking any day! Two cups of coffe and dark
chocolates filled with salty liquorice and soft caramel round off our meal gently. The waiters were friendly and welcoming bringing delicious newly baked bread with butter for our baby. I cant wait to visit Snaps again for a casual “grown up´s only” time at the bar with a glass of wine or cocktail. We had a festive meal with loads of cozy atmo at Snaps today, just finishing off the year nicely.
4 stars for a warm atmosphere and food that tasted as good as it looked.
